Premier League trio Manchester City, Chelsea and Everton are all interested in signing highly-rated Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who almost joined Barcelona in the summer.
According to Guardian journalist Ed Aarons, who regularly reports news on this player, Seri is now available for just £25million, a potential bargain for an English side.
Seri is renowned for his excellent and accurate passing, and has a remarkable 91.1% pass accuracy this season in Ligue 1 and the Europa League. He is a teammate of former City forward Mario Balotelli at Nice, but is likely to move on in the near future.
City are in search of a new midfielder, with Seri’s fellow Ivorian, Yaya Touré, ending his Manchester City stay next summer. Julian Weigl also being linked in addition to Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić.
Seri would undoubtedly be the cheapest option of the three, but City are now in a position where they can spend big on strategic recruits having added quality in bulk last summer – and price-tag is unlikely to impact their decision on which midfielder they sign next.
